The DNA of a famous investor

Warren Edward Buffett is a renowned American businessman, investor and philanthropist who serves as CEO and Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. He was born on August 30, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was widely recognized as the most successful investor of the 20th century and is now one of the richest people in the world.

Warren Buffett's roots can be traced back to the 17th century, when his ancestors emigrated to America from northern Europe. Warren Buffett was born the second son of Howard Buffett, a successful broker and later congressman, and his wife Leila nee Stahl Buffett. The family ran a small grocery store, where Warren gained his first entrepreneurial experience. Under the influence of his father and reading books about the stock market, he began to develop his interest in business and finance at a young age.

Buffett graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1950 and earned a Master of Science in Economics from Columbia University in 1951. Influenced by Benjamin Graham, a pioneer of value-based investing and a professor at Columbia University, Buffett developed his own investment strategy. This strategy, often referred to as "value investing," involves valuing companies based on their fundamental economic characteristics rather than their stock prices.

After graduating from college, Buffett founded his own investment company, Buffett Partnership Ltd. in Omaha. His keen business sense and ability to spot profitable investments helped him amass a substantial fortune. In 1965, he took control of Berkshire Hathaway, a textile company that grew into a multinational conglomerate under his leadership. Berkshire Hathaway now owns more than 60 companies, including household names such as Geico, Duracell and Dairy Queen.

As a philanthropist, Buffett has announced plans to donate much of his wealth. He is a co-founder of the Giving Pledge initiative, which calls on wealthy people to donate the majority of their assets to charity. He has also donated billions of dollars to the Bill
